Stopping and Starting Unix Client Services

Can someoe PLEASE tell me how to stop and start the DP services on HP-UX, SCO, and VMWARE (Linux) clients. There is no omnisv command on these systems and I am drawing a blank. Again, they are not cell managers, they are clients, omnisv is not the answer.
