Stuck Tape Storageworks ultrium 230

I have an Ultrium 230 external tape drive which will not eject the tape or respond to any buttons or software commands. I tried power cycling to no avail. I saw a post that mentioned holding the button in for 10 sec, but that didn't help either.

I also saw a forum member who offered to send a doc on ejecting the tapes.
