Surestor Dat24x6 error messages

I have a Dat24x6 giving error messages.

Running Arcserv. Error E6500: client connect to tape failed. E6943: The library has a hardware fault. E6096: Media error.

Tried 2 other drives with same errors.
Any help appreciated.

What O/S?
You Can Try using new tape, and Run L&TT Diagnostic Tool, Flash the firmware, and Run Read/Write test on a new tape.

This is a media error.

The O/S is Windows 2000 server with SP3

You will want to go into the SCSI bios and ensure that LUN support is enabled

Download and install the HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools Rev 3.4 from Here:

"Make sure you stop all Arc Serve Services, and stop Removable storage service"
Then Run L&TT and Flash/Update the firmware even of you have the latest, the Run the Read/Write test, try it on different tapes.
