Surestore 5300 Tape Library
Does anyone knows where to get the adapter attached to the rear of the Tape drive used in 5300 tape library case? I need to put a CDRW into one of the empty bays, though, I need the interface for SCSI+Power+SCSI ID connection.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Surestore 5300 Tape Library
Hello,
Connecting a CDRW drive in a Tape Array 5300 is not supported.
The below link says what is supported:
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/products/tapebackup/tapearrays/tapearray5300/index.html
HTH,
Vince

Re: Surestore 5300 Tape Library
Thank you. I already noticed that. However, 5300 is nothing but a external SCSI device connection case with a power supply, which supports 4 SCSI devices. Due to the characteristics of SCSI, it doesn't matter what device you connect to the SCSI bus. The only problem is that the required connector interface is not sold seperately. That is all.
I think I will make the connector interface myself.
