Surestore dat 40e

I am using dds 3 tapes in a dat 40 unit. Are there any negative implications other than lower backup capacity? (NT4.0 system)

you should only use dds 3 when you are trying to recover archived data. Continuous use for backup will shorten the life of the drive.
