Surestore DAT24 + Dell server problem

I posted a few weeks back about which SCSI card to get that would work with our SS DAT24. The Adaptec AHA-2940AU was the card we needed. It was ordered, everything looked great untill we tried to install the card. It seems the Dell PowerEdge 1650 we have does not take the 3.3V PCI card that the 2940AU is. It can only take a 5v PCI card(they are diff. slot types). Of which Dell sells only one. Im told that it does have the 50pin HVD external plug that our 2940 has, but i have yet to hear back from Dell about the other specs. I want to know if any 50pin HD connector will work with our DAT24.

DAT24 is a narrow SE SCSI device. The only you may need is adapter cable (50 low density to 50 HD)

Not sure what you mean there. Will any 50pin connector work for us? Ive been looking through Adaptec's site and found to other cards that have the right external connector(i think) and have the right PCI slot type. The 29160N and the 19260, i hope, meet my needs?

Re: Surestore DAT24 + Dell server problem

The 2940AU will not work for us. The PCI slot we need it to go into will not accept this card. The key needs to be at the front of the card instead of, how it is on the 2940AU, at the back of the card.
