SureStore DAT24

A problem with inserting tape cart. has developed after several months of good service. This unit has been in service since April, 02. HP's support indicates a need to check on POWER to the drive, but the server on which this is installed was not recently tossed about. All SCSI diags. check out OK as does the HP_Ltt.exe utility. (says it needs cleaning!) When we try to insert a cart. it's not grabbed and sucked in. When the cart. is "encouraged" it's ejected.

Any help will be greatly GREAT!

Hi David,

I recently had the same problem. What brand of tapes are you using? I finally had to switch brands of tapes. I was using a sony tape. When I switched to Fujitsu tapes everything worked fine.
