Surestore T20xi is Travan or miniQIC
This T20xi was on NT4 server that was then reinstalled from scratch with Win2000 server. When initially installed it identified media as part of MiniQIC backup pool in ntbackup. After suceessful operations for few months it started producing errors and tape will not even move when inserted a new tape.
So I took it out double checked all connections and SCSI settings termination etc. and now it works again. Don't know what happened. Now media is shown as part of Travan pool.
Now I always used HP prformatted Travan tapes 20GB/TR-5 (C4435 Data Cartridge). Why it was MiniQIC before and Travan now?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Surestore T20xi is Travan or miniQIC
Hi.
As for the quetsion about which media type... T20 is Travan indeed. Why it's showing MiniQIC, no clue whatsoever... my best guess is some hiccup in NT. Have you used HP or Microsoft drivers?
HTH,
Arimo

Thanks fot your input. It was using HP drivers in NT4 days but when installed on W2000 server, windows has detected and installed all drivers.
