Surestore Tape 5000
It appears to have installed fine.
What did I install?
I thought it would be a utility to do backup and recovery from the tape drive. I have a need to check an old tape to see if I can recover some software, and would not like to spend a lot of money on software to get it off the tape.
Is there a link on HP that would direct me to software I could download that would allow me to recover the tape, or failing that, freeware somewhere that would do the same?
This unit is not going to be used again, and I'd hate to throw money at this especially if the tape doesn't have the data I'm looking for.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Surestore Tape 5000
Rats.
Well, if I know me, (and there are days I don't) I would have used what was packaged with the drive. Do you (or anyone out there) know what that might have been?
Thanks!

Re: Surestore Tape 5000
You need a backup application to move the data from the system to the drive.
Depending on your version of XP, it might have it's own backup application built in under program > accessories >
If not then post your email adress here and I'll find you a copy of the current inbox software that should do the trick.
