Tapeware DR and OBDR do NOT support W2K dynamic disks

Just a warning to advise potential purchasers that neither Tapeware nor HP OBDR will support Windows 2000 Dynamic Disks.

If you wish to use software mirroring (RAID 1) of your drives, you must convert them from Basic Disks to Dynamic Disks, at which point both the OBDR and Tapeware Disaster Recovery cease to function.

"Windows 2000 with Dynamic Disks is not supported with Disaster Recovery. We will have a fix for this after Microsoft releases a Dynamic Disks API." - Tapeware Technical Support

Any comments by HP would be appreciated. In the mean time, perhaps you could modify your sales site for tape drives to make reference to this limitation so people do not end up purchasing products that do not function as anticipated.

Thank you.
