ultrium 232 cannot detect by windows
problem:ultrium 232 cannot detect by windows
i cannot see the tape drive in my systems tools,
when in bios it can detect but when after start windows it cannot detect,anyone know the problem?
i am using ultrium 232 my os is win sever 2003 R2
i check the event lock it have this error below
The device, \Device\Scsi\cpqcissm1, did not respond within the timeout period.
hp it ppl pls help me...thx alot

What I understand is that:
POST detects the drive
Device Manager does not detect the drive.
- What about the Backups Software and LTT.. do they detect the drive?
- Have you disabled RSM?
- If LTT detects the drive, disable the backup services and RSM, and try to test with LTT

If the flop doesn't fit... go allin!!!

download the Library and Tape Tools dignostic from this site.Stop services on Removable Storage and any backup software you may have. Choose the NT miniport option when you run the diag. What SCSI controller are you using?
