Ultrium 460 External Drive - Drive Error and Tape Error LEDs are flashing
My external Ultrium 460 drive has the LEDs for Tape Error and Drive Error flashing. I tried to reset the drive but nothing happened. I installed L&TT and it is telling me that is in restricted mode. I tried to export data for support ticket and the drive seems to be fine. I didn't saw any errors. I also tried to upgrade firmware but I am receiving and error: SCSI TUR failure with Sense Condition 40 0x0. What can I do to make it work again?
-Removable Storage service is disabled in Windows.
-No backup software installed
Don't know why L&TT is in restricted mode...
Controller used is Adaptec. It is the only device connected to controller and I am using the Auto-Term of the drive no terminator is attached. Firmware on the drive is F5CD if I remember correctly.

Re: Ultrium 460 External Drive - Drive Error and Tape Error LEDs are flashing
I opened up the tape yesterday and cleaned it. I removed all cables cleaned them with alchool and compressed air spray but nothing. same issue, Tape and Drive Error leds are flashing.
Can someone tell me if I can change the electronic board with other Ultrium drives? If yes which drives have the same electronic boards?
