Will my HP StorageWorks Ultrium 3000 SAS work on Windows 11?
I have an HP StorageWorks Ultrium 3000 SAS LTO5 tape drive and I want to upgrade to a new computer that will have Windows 11, will this drive work with Windows 11? I'm unable to find a clear answer on this page:
I see my drive listed in the compatibility list and selecting it shows "OS Independent" but looking at the other sections nowhere do I see both my drive and compatibility with Windows 11 mentioned.
Will my tape drive work on Windows 11?
Thank you

Betreff: Will my HP StorageWorks Ultrium 3000 SAS work on Windows 11?
I only see Windows 11 mentioned on page 37 and not my tape drive. Nowhere have I been able to see that my tape drive is specifically compatible with Windows 11. My model of tape drive is well over 10 years old so I want to be sure it's still supported in the latest drivers for Windows 11.
I would like a definite confirmation as this would pretty much ruin my computer upgrade plans as a new LTO drive would cost many times the price of the new computer I want.
Thank you

Hello @Sacha Crompton,
The compatibility matrix says that the Ultrium 3000 model is 'OS independent'. If it is working well with your current version of Windows, it should be compatible with Windows11 as well.
But you will not find a fresh compatibility matrix document that clearly defines the compatibility. Because the Ultrium 3000 reached end of support life when Windows11 was released.
