Can someone provide me with information how to copy backup data that resides on the VLS1000i to physical tape for long-term data retention.

We have a whitepaper, but it is for VLS6000 and DP. The paper addresses object copies, but the function is similar to a tape to tape copy and is dependant on the applications ability to copy tapes or sets of tapes (objects). In the case of a VLS1000i, the user would have to configure the app to perform a tape copy, which would move the data off to physical tape for archiving purposes. Retention periods for the original backup can be set such that capacity on the VLS1000i is reclaimed some point after a physical copy is made.
