HPE StoreOnce VSA GEN4 - 1 TB Freeware License
Hello Community,
I downloaded an appliance file and activated it via HPE StoreOnce VSA GEN4 - 1 TB Freeware License. Now, I have lost data in a test environment. Is there a way to re-apply same license to a new installation of HPE StoreOnce VSA GEN4 . I know that it generates a different serial # upon each installation. How can we claim the same license again ?
My other query is I downloaded another OVA/OVF file under same category of HPE StoreOnce VSA GEN4 - 1 TB Freeware License. However, I no longer get an option of generated EON and an option to generate a license for either HPE StoreOnce VSA GEN4 - 1 TB Freeware License or HPE StoreOnce VSA Free 1TB 3-year LTU. Am I missing something in the whole process?

Re: HPE StoreOnce VSA GEN4 - 1 TB Freeware License
Hi AS13,
Good day , thank you for Reaching HPE Community .
StoreOnce VSA licenses
Instant-on license: StoreOnce VSA includes an instant-on license, which enables all product features. StoreOnce 3.18.0
and later versions have a 90 day instant-on period. Earlier versions have a 60 day instant-on period.
Up to 50 TB can be configured with the instant-on license. Only allocate enough capacity to use the StoreOnce VSA until
the permanent licenses can be applied. Capacity cannot be removed from the StoreOnce VSA system after it has been
allocated.
Base license: To continue using the StoreOnce VSA after the instant-on period, the system must have a license key. The
license key is per-instance and locked to the serial number of the StoreOnce VSA used to redeem the license.
Capacity upgrade license: To use more storage capacity than enabled by the base license, apply a capacity upgrade
license. The capacity upgrade license requires a valid base license for the system. The new maximum capacity is enabled
when the capacity upgrade license is added. The new license term of the StoreOnce VSA is perpetual regardless of
whether the previous license had a three-year, five-year, or perpetual term.
