In HP VLS6100 disk arrays are not detecting
we have HP StorageWorks 6100-series Virtual Library System (disk enclosure consists of 12 hard disks of SATA 500GB each).this disk arrays are not detecting HP VLS command view console, the total capacity is showing 0GB and also we are getting a error
"Missing Storage LUN paths on Node0"
How to resolve this issue.. are we need upgrade firmware of vls and disk enclosure,if so please provide related links.
Regards
Asha

Re: In HP VLS6100 disk arrays are not detecting
I would recommend contacting HP to help you go through the logs.
I would check the back of the disk enclosures. What does it say in the display?
When you're back there, what is the status of the connections/cables between the enclosure and the head node?
Anyway, I would do a power cycle of the whole VLS to see if the MSA60 comes back. Start with head node and when that is done, then pull out the power cable on the MSA60. Wait.
Wait. Then reverse.
This advisory has a description for how to find the firmwares:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=120&prodSeriesId=470405&prodTypeId=12169&objectID=c02615296
The advisory is only 6 months old but there may be newer firmwares out.
