On the latter we create VVOL and present to ESXi hosts to be used as datastores for Veeam replicas.
I've spent two days and can't find the same option in Storeonce to create VVOL. Is it not possible?

SolutionHi,
no way for VVol.
StoreOnce is a Backup to Disk Storage, and 3PAR is a Block Storage.
StoreOnce is a Backup target and is not used to present Disk Volumes to the Server.
Usually, you connect your backup server to StoreOnce and not any other server.

Re: Is it possible to create virtual volumes on Storeonce 5260
Hi.
Thank you for your reply. Are you sure about this? The solution was sold to us by senior HPE team as a replacement for 3PAR.

Yes
As you can see, StoreOnce is for Data Protection:

The Replacement for 3PAR is the Alletra B10000.

Re: Query: Is it possible to create virtual volumes on Storeonce 5260
Thanks for your help. HPE will take back the StoreOnce and have proposed an Alletra so far.
