migrate data from StoreOnce 5100 to StoreOnce 5260
Hello Everyone,
I’m planning to migrate data from an old HPE StoreOnce 5100 to a new StoreOnce 5260.
We are currently using Veeam with Catalyst Stores, and I am still quite new to working with StoreOnce systems. I want to make sure the migration is done properly while keeping data safe and minimizing downtime.

Re: migrate data from StoreOnce 5100 to StoreOnce 5260
Hi,
you can use the Veeam Scale-Out to Migrate, it is supported by Veeam and StoreOnce:
1. Create a Scale-out Backup Repository (SOBR) based on 2 extents:
- Old repository (source).
- New StoreOnce (destination).
2. Select the Old repository, set “Maintenance mode”, and click on “Evacuate backup” :
- Veeam will start Multiple concurrent “move” tasks.
- Set a reasonable “Concurrent task limit” on the destination.
3. Migration completed!
- Remove old storage from the SOBR.
- At the end, you have a SOBR with one extent only.
