HPE StoreVirtual FOM Adaptation from VMWare to Xen NEED A SAN/IQ DEVELOPPER HERE
Hi fellows old users of StoreVirtual Storage,
I have a HP Store Virtual VOM 2014 running VSA 12.8 that i was able to convert ( at system level ) to Xen by proviging the drivers to the underlying CentOS 7.
to have the LeftHand software start, i made a copy of /etc/lefthand/brand/VMWARE to /etc/lefthand/brand/XEN
It allows the service to start, but of course all the vmware-specific api calls fails and in the UI, even if the FOM connects, you can't clic on any setup/diagnistic part.
My question to any last HP or San/IQ expert here is this, is there a stub brand configuration that i could use that does not break the system but leaves the FOM working, or better, a real XEN support that you could send me ?
Thank you,

Re: HPE StoreVirtual FOM Adaptation from VMWare to Xen NEED A SAN/IQ DEVELOPPER HERE
We run the physical boxes in plethora at work and they are. The hardware in garbage, the software is legacy and clunky. Now with the Simplivity buy it's as good as dead given no one knows how to support it at HPE.

Re: HPE StoreVirtual FOM Adaptation from VMWare to Xen NEED A SAN/IQ DEVELOPPER HERE
Honest answer; Running XEN with StoreVirtual is very slow (imho).
Been there, done that.
That said; It doesn't help you with your problem unfortunately.
