P4000 VSA Kernel Panic: Error while reading file: -5, state.tgz
One of my VSA's running 8.x has died. It was hung. I powered cycled. On boot up received the Kernel Panic error noted above.
I'm left at a boot: prompt.
I suppose this is more of a VMware recovery at this point, but, has anyone been able to recover a failed VMware partition to get their VSA up and running again?

Re: P4000 VSA Kernel Panic: Error while reading file: -5, state.tgz
ok - i lucked out.
Ran the ESXi in repair mode, it found the existing VMFS. I had to manually browse and add the VSA back, tweak the network configuration, but it powered up fine and i'm in the process of migrating off of this HW.
Phew.
