I have a P4300 G2 StorageWorks sytem consisting for 4 systems. Each system is 8 drives in a RAID 5 config. The 4 systems are in one cluster in a RAID 10 (2-way mirror) config. One of the units failed and the RAID was showing Off. I removed the system from the management group. The system shows up as "Additional systems" but was also still showing in the cluster but just as an IP address. Managed to fix it by Enabling Cache-Write in the RAID BIOS. I've added it back to the Management group but the system appears twice the in the group (once in the clutser as an IP address, and another just under the management group node). It still shows in the cluster but only as an IP address and when I click on it get error "Unable to connect". When I start to add the system back to the cluster it now shows 5 systems so I'm afraid that accepting this will cause data loss.
Any ideas how to get it back into cluster properly?

Re: P4300 G2 Remove/Add back system
Also, if I try to remove the ghost IP address from the cluster it will not let me stating there is not enough space available to do that.

SolutionWhen a Node has issues and removed from Management Group for repair, it will show up in Available Systems.
Once the Node is repaired, we need to add it to the existing Management Group.
After that exchange it in the Cluster. Volumes starts to restripe.
The existing IP which is a Ghost IP or a place holder will be removed once the Volume restripe is completed.

Re: P4300 G2 Remove/Add back system
Yes, that's exactly what I did and after 2 days of resyncing the ghost system disappeared.
Thanks!
