StoreVirtual VSA 12.7 Network Configuration

I'm installing storevirtual VSA 12.7 on hyper-v 2016 I have two 480 Gen10 blades populated in HPE Synergy Frame, both blades are connected to Synergy Disk Modules and Configured with Hardware RAID. I have two Converged Network adapter per blade, I installed Hyper-V and created two vSwitches. One vSwitch for Management and One for iSCSI/VSA Traffic. Both networks are on different subnet with different VLAN IDs. My first question , Is it possible to use management network (defined on HyperV using management vSwitch) to communicate with VSA for management purpose via CMC? Second question, when I run VSA installer it asks for network details. What details should I provide here , Management Network or iSCSI Network ? Last question, , How can I configure management and iSCSI network with different subnets/IP addresses while installing VSA ? Thanks, Zubair.

Re: StoreVirtual VSA 12.7 Network Configuration

Hi Zubair,

VSA supports two virtual network interfaces, one used for managing VSA and other one for iSCSI traffic. This is called as "split networking" in StoreVirtual term.

having said, management IP will be used to access VSA via CMC and same can be used during deployment of VSA.

Post deployment, IP address would be assigned to iSCSI interface (second interface) and tagged as "LHOS" and "iSCSI" interface.

Refer to "Configuring interfaces for split networks" section in Storevirtual User guide. Guide can be downloadable from below link.

Hope this helps,
