Does anyone have roadmap details for the VSA product? E.g. support for Hyper-V 2019, etc.
It would be nice to know whether we will see continued platform support or whether we need to start looking at a migration away from Storevirtual.
Cheers,
Ben

SolutionHi Ben,
The End of Support Life for P4000 Legacy VSA is 31st December 2018.
The End of Sales for HPE Storevirtual 2014 VSA is not yet announced, so no end of support can be known.
As of now, the HPE Storevirtual 2014 has been tested for Windows 2016 Hyper-V.
HPE has not tested or released the Compatibility Matrix for Windows 2019 Hyper-V. Once it is tested, the Compatibility Matrix will be updated.
If the customer wishes to migrate for other Storage Solutions, HPE Simplivity will be a good option.
Please let me know if you have any further queries.

Re: Support roadmap for Storevirtual VSA
Thanks Mohamed, appreciate the reply.
I do hope that support will be extended to Hyper-V 2019, from a product perspective, the VSA does the job and is still very cost effective.
To be honest, Simplivity is a completely different type of product and isn't a direct replacement to the VSA in my opinion. I was disappointed when HPE aqcuired Nimble Storage. Nimble had plans to release a VSA type product, and since HPE took over I've heard nothing since. A real shame...particularly when cloud volumes is kinda the same thing.
Cheers,
Ben

Re: Support roadmap for Storevirtual VSA
Hi Ben
I agree with all you say in your post - VSA has been great over the years.
Did you come to any futher conclusions of the future of Storevirtual? I cant even see sales pages for Atorevirtual on the HPE site anymore - has the whole product line been discontinued?
Regards
Simon

Re: Support roadmap for Storevirtual VSA
Hi Simon,
I've heard nothing, interesting that the website has dropped the product...and none of the EOL statements have been updated as far as I can find.
Cheers,
Ben
