Synchronous and asynchronous replication

Hi all,

How does the sysnchronous replication work in the p4000 sans ?

Is it like the eva where under CA the block is copied to the second san and written to cache and the "right completed" flag comes back to the first san and the application carries on.

Or is this mechanism differernt ?

I can not find much on this process
