2510-24G J9279a Password Reset not working
Hi Guys,
we've got a couple 2510-24G J9279a switches where the password has been lost.
I've followed the manual for doing a factory reset
To execute the factory default reset on the switch, perform these steps:
1. Using pointed objects, simultaneously press both the Reset and Clear
buttons on the front of the switch.
2. Continue to press the Clear button while releasing the Reset button.
3. When the Test LED begins to blink, release the Clear button.
The switch will then complete its self test and begin operating with its
configuration restored to the factory default settings.
the configuration seems to have reset as the IP address has reverted back to 192.168.2.10, but i'm still unable to log into the web interface. Am I missing something really stupid?
Thanks
Jack

Re: 2510-24G J9279a Password Reset not working
Hello,
This is normal behaviour. The password is not reset with the startup config.
To reset the password keep the "clear" button pressed for 1 to 2 seconds. This will remove all usersnames and passwords.
