2610 connecting to 2524 via fiber
I currently have an outdated network with J4813A(2524) switches and would like to upgrade all of the switches on this network to our corp standard of the J9085A(2610) switches (one at a time). I have tried but hit a roadblock trying to establish a fiber connection from one to the other, the 2610 is using the J4859C module and the 2524 is using the J4131B module.
Is there something I am missing when trying to establish a fiber connection??
A year or so ago we updated our primary Office switch to a 5412zl switch that uses the same GBIC modules and the connection to older existing 2524 switches connected with no problems.
Thanks in advance.

Re: 2610 connecting to 2524 via fiber
I think I might have solved my own issue, the J4859C is an LX module and the J4131B is SX, I am going to assume they can't talk to each other. I have ordered the SX GBIC module for the 2610 switch to see if that resolves it.
