Agere PCI Soft Modem

I have the Agere PCI Soft modem on my HP PC. I would like to use a program called Call Alert to show caller ID on the screen when an incoming call is made. Does anyone know if the Agere PCI Soft Modem works with the Call Alert program. I have tried it but get no caller ID. Thanks
