Console Problem w/ ProCurve 2524
I'm having problems consoling into my ProCurve 2524s. I have tried numerous settings with hyperterminal, different cables, verified port works, reset/clear to factory settings, and still I can't seem to get a serial console connection to two new switches I bought. Any ideas?

Re: Console Problem w/ ProCurve 2524
The problem might be my laptop (nc8430), once I tried on a different model I didn't experience problems?

Re: Console Problem w/ ProCurve 2524
I've often found that if you connect at 9600 for example then don't logout from the session properly then the next time you try to connect at a different speed then various HP switches don't auto sense the console speed correctly and as a consequence you can only connect again at 9600.
