DTC 16RX (J2064A) to an HP Procurve switch (J4812A)
Hello,
My requirement is as follows: to connect a DTC 16RX (J2064A) to an HP Procurve switch (J4812A).
The previous solution with the HP 28685B (obsolete) allowed the connection of the AUI interface of the DTC box to the RJ-45 LAN.
Do you know which kind of equipment can replace the 28685B for my purpose ?
Regards
Lio

Re: DTC 16RX (J2064A) to an HP Procurve switch (J4812A)
It appears that the HP 28685B is nothing more than a DB-15 to RJ-45 Ethernet converter. Similar to:
Startech
Mfr. Part No. LI10BT
Available for $12.95 (plus shipping and handling no doubt) from:
http://www.pcmall.com/pcmall/shop/detail.asp?DPNo=779107&adcampaign=email,zwb12165.
Or if you prefer to have the cute little lights then for a mere $58 to $137 you can get an
LE2041A-R2
or an
LE3011A
from Black Box. www.blackbox.com
The last one comes with a builtin 15 foot CAT5 cable and uses screw lock on the db15 the LE3010A is the same but with slide locks. Can't give you a reference page but if your search their catalog they will come up.
