GUI access to a Brocade 300 Switch
Hi,
A few days ago we had the need to make some configuration changes to our Brocade 300 Switch and when we tried to access the web page we ended got redirected to "http://jdl.sun.com/webapps/getjava/BrowserRedirect?locale=en&host=java.com” and returns a message that the page could not be found. We have tried different browsers as well as different versions of Java but to no avail.
As we were able to get in a couple of months ago something must have changed recently. Has anybody come accross this and found a work around. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: GUI access to a Brocade 300 Switch
Hello dirkdevos,
It is an older problem with brocades, I have seen many posts on other sites about this and I tell you: Try to make your changes by command line using ssh, because the webpage of this Switch has problem.
However, if you can try it, I suggest this:
1. Put the IP address of your switches in java exceptions
2. Open your windows cmd and type: javaws "http: // [your ip address of the switch] /switchExplorer_installed.html"

Re: GUI access to a Brocade 300 Switch
Hi,
I opened a ticket with support and there were a couple of firmware updates that I had to do to get it to a pont where the GUI worked.
