Help with HP j3202a + j3210a switching hub
Hello,
I have obtained some older 10baseT switching hubs, HP j3202a hub + j3210a management module. I hope to use these with a community group I am involved with but first have to get some info. The hubs work fine, even with the management module fitted. My problem is that I have no details from the previous owner ( a uni I think) as to username/password for accessing the management modules so as I can configure them to suit my needs. I can have a rs232 console session with the module but can only get as far as the username. I noticed, via ethereal, that the management module was trying to request an ip address via dhcp so I set up a server and it received a ip address. I was then able to ping and telnet into the module with still the same results, no further than the username. Is there a way to gain access to the management modules or reset the units to a default factory setting? The "reset" button on the fron has no effect apart from restarting the hub and managemant module.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards
Mark

Hi Mark,
You should hold the clearbutton for 10 seconds or try the following:
User Name: I5rDv2b2JjA8Mm
Password: A52896nG93096a
I can never keep that old stuff apart.. either of them should work.
