HP 2510 maximal password length

Hello,

i have successfully configured radius authentication for login into the webinterface from the ProCurve.

The only problem that i have: Is there a limitation for the password for radius users?

When i logged in with a user who has a password lenght shorter than 16 characters it works, but when i try to login with a user who has a pasword that have 16 or more character it doesn't work.

I found a post for the 2650 is that also true for the 2510?

From the installation guide, passwords are up to 16 ASCII characters, for the 2510 and 2520. It does not mention for Radius users, but I am guessing it follows the same limitation.

Hi,

thx for the reply. I also saw that in the manual and thougth that this limitation is only for local users on the switch, but it seems that this is also true for radius users. Its a strange limitation.
