HP ProCurve Switch 2650 port problem
Hi,
We have a HP ProCurve Switch 2650 switch with default configuration. Sometimes particular ports on the switch goes down and PC, which connected to these ports can't see a network. What can we do to resolve this issue?
Regards, Max

Re: HP ProCurve Switch 2650 port problem
Max,
does these ports just go temparlary off line.
If so LACP is enabled by default and if you are not using LACP trunks on the switch you should disaple it on all ports.

Re: HP ProCurve Switch 2650 port problem
Hello Max,
Set the date and time on your switch and wait for the next event. Record the time of the event and then compare this timestamp to the event log of the switch.
This will give you a clue what is happening. It may be LACP toggling the port. On the other hand, it may be a powersave mode on the host's NIC or something different.
Goodluck
