Jumbo frames on 3400cl-24G
I turned on jumbo frames on a 3400 for a certain VLAN. Switch is running M.08.88. Could not get packets >1500 through. Turning jumbo off and on againg solved the problem.
Somebody knows if this is a known 'feature'?

Re: Jumbo frames on 3400cl-24G
Given the extreme old age of the firmware on your switch - your 3400cl is running M.08.88, while the current release is somewhere in the vicinity M.10.41 - I would say that it is a bug.

Re: Jumbo frames on 3400cl-24G
Yeah, well - if this issue has not been addressed in any releases up till now - how could you say that it's a bug? I have searched in the release notes, nothing there. I had a similar problem (jumbo support one way only) on a 3400 two years ago. Upgrading to M.08.88 solved that issue. If it in fact was a bugfix or just the reboot I couldn't say. I do not run flow control.
I also see that giant errors increase even though jumbo frames now in fact go through.
