Link Aggreagation and Trunking Vlans between Hp Procurve 2510g 3Com

Link Aggreagation and Trunking Vlans between Hp Procurve 2510g 3Com

I need help on how to configure Trunking and Link Aggreation between Hp Procurve 2510g and 3Com 4510g.

 

I have 3 vlan

 

Vlan 10 servers

Vlan 20 Treasury

Vlan 30 Assessor

 

Vlan 10 is in 3com 4510g 48 ports (192.168.7.1   255.255.255.192)

Vlan 20 is in Hp Procurve 2510g 48 ports (192.168.7.62   255.255.255.192)

Vlan 30 in another Hp Procurve 2510g 48 ports(192.168.7.129   255.255.255.192)


How to config them?.Could you help me pls.

Hi,

 

With HP procurve, you have to use the command "tagged xx" on the VLAN that you want to propagate to the other switch, where XX is your uplin port. For link aggregation you tagged the aggregation interface for e.g Trk1

 

So for your case, you Trunk the uplink ports you want as your uplinks and you tagged that trunk port. Say in your case for Procurve 2510, you  want to port 48 and port 47 and use this as you uplink and allow the other VLAN's to pass through

  1. Create the VLAN's
  2. Trunk port 47 and 48
  3. On the VLAN's created in step 1, tagged the trunk interface
