Missconfigured autorized manager on 2626m, can`t reach it.

Hello.

I have a problem I hope somebody can help me with.
I changed the management IP on a Procurve 2626m, but forgot to change the autorized manager IP.

So now the switch has management IP 10.1.0.14 and autorized manager IP is 192.168.5.100.

Management VLAN is set to 73.

The problem is that this switch in in a "hard to get to" locaton, så I would relly not have to go there and use com interface.

The uplink from this 2626m is connected to another 2626m witch I have here on sight.

Any ideas on how to reach management on the missconfigured one?.

If the misconfigured 2600 has the correct default gateway setting, then you should be able to create a new VLAN on whatever the default gateway is, and use the 192.168.5.xxx network, configure a host to use .100 and that should do the trick.

I have the misconfigured 2626m connected to anhother 2626m witch I`m using just to try to get the connection up again.
After I have management back I`ll conect it back to the main network.

The default GW on the missconfigured on is set to 192.168.5.1

Management VLAN is VLAN73 on both switches.

I have tried different VLAN settings etc. But heven`t found a solution.

Can you give me a guide on how you would set this up?.

Since the misconfigured one also has a misconfigured gateway (192.168.5.1) then I can't really see any other option that will let you get back into this switch remotely. Time to take that walk with the console cable I think.
