We have two 8206 core and I am trying to acheive the following:
Core1 would be the primary rp and core 2 will be backup rp for all multicast traffic.
Multicast traffic are from various ranges i.e. for desktop deployment + IPTV ...etc...
Can anyone post there sample config for acheiving this so I can get my head around it ?
Also is BSR the best option here ?
any help much apprecaited
Thank you
David

Re: Multicast routing
Hi there,
I am also looking something similar, i have also the situation for one of my client network, where we implemented dense mode, but now the problem is the customer exceeded the limitation of the actual requirement, so we neet to tweak the multicast conf also in order to have a better m-routing and i dont know where to start it from, so if you found solution can you please help me out.
the network is having two cores, distribution and edge level switches, where the edge switches connected cctv and their servers are connected into the core switches.
