My company is trying to setup EDI using Mutual of Omaha & another software provider. For the enrollment forms I need transmission info like Transmission software & the protocol it is using. We are using a Conexant HCF V92 Data Fax USB external modem. I can't find anything with this info. When I look at the setup on the PC, it shows Data Protocol as Standard EC but the form is asking Z, X, Ymodem or Kermit. I am very new to modems. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!!!

Solution
I believe what they're asking is what terminal emulation software you are going to use (i.e. HyperTerminal, Procomm, etc.). The Xmodem, Ymodem, Zmodem, and Kermit are all file tranfer protocols designed for modem use.
The emulation software doesn't care what modem you have (usually); it just wants to know what COM port it's installed on.
