I have an HP Netserver E800 server running NT6a.
I have two NIC configured as a team, using
HP Pro Set.
The NICs are configured as Adaptive Load Balancing (ALB).
The NICs are HP NetServer 10/100TX's.
AFIAK, a feature of teaming is to periodically check the connection of each NIC to determine if one has failed/lost connection.
Pro Set has a parameter to set the time between checks - 1,2 or 3 seconds.
When I enable the team, all of the link lights of my hub blink off for a fraction of a second. This was happening about every second when the Check parameter was set to 1 sec., and happens about every 3 seconds, when the param. is set to 3 seconds. However sometimes it is more frequent.
Is the blinking of the link lights normal?/caused by the check?/detrimental to LAN connectivity/speed?
LAN connectivity seems normal.
Thanks for any replies.
