Problems with PCM+ and Remote Client
Hi,
I followed the installation manual of PCM+, but I can't connect from my workstation to the PCM+ Server, which is in another subnet.
I changed access.txt and TyphoonServer.cfg on the Server to include the password and "Authentication = 100", restarted the server, changed the client config in riptide.cfg, try to connect and nothing happens.
Any hints?
TIA,
Falk

Re: Problems with PCM+ and Remote Client
If you put the workstation in the same subnet as the PCM+ server, does that work? Usually all you need to edit is the access.txt, if you want to allow everything just add *.*.*.* to the file.
Also if the PCM server is dual-homed, you may need to edit the commipaddr.txt (I think that's the name) file.
Maybe there is an ACL or something configured on your router that is preventing some of the necessary ports getting through to this different subnet.. ?

Re: Problems with PCM+ and Remote Client
Hi,
found the problem.
It's some strange Network Address Translation not coping with the way PCM+ sends answer packets..
Works from same subnet.
Have a nice day,
Falk
