ProCurve 2610-48 PWR problem
Hello together,
we have in our company an HP ProCurve 2610-48 PWR Switch. This switch has some troubles since it was first setuped in the network. If someone changes the port of an connected PC on the switch the whole data throughput will collaps down. When I reboot the switch, the system works well again. Does someone know more about this problem an dcan help me? I think thomething is misconfigurated in the switch.

Re: ProCurve 2610-48 PWR problem
What firmware are you using? And what switch, do you have the model type, I have seen this issue with a J9280A , 2510 series, that Mac table doesnt flush out once you, connect to another port, and you need to wait for the Mac age timer to kick in. As a test try and setting the MAC age timer to 1 minute(default is 5 minutes). Command syntax is: procurve(config)# mac-age-time 60. If you have pinpointed to being the MAC table, then I will suggest contacting your local Procurve Support for a bug request
Good Luck,
Franklyn
