Procurve 2910 MAC-BASED vlan(s). computers don't recieve an IP from DHCP right away
Hi all,
I am having an issue with my ProCurve 2910 specifically in regards to MAC-BASED VLAN(S).
For example - I have a computer that belongs to VLAN 10 and its currently shut off.
The computer plugs into port 1 on my switch. When I turn it on and check my show port-access mac-based I can see the VLAN get assigned to 10 but it doesn't receive an IP address right away, I have to log on and do a ipconfig /release and /renew in order to grab the IP.
Does anybody have any advice or a solution to this problem. I would like to get my computers to grab an IP address as soon as possible without doing an ipconfig /release and /renew
Thanks for the support
