Procurve 4108gl & 5304xl switch Trunking
I have 5304xl and 2 X 4108gl switches. All switches have routing turned on. I want to create Two trunk groups and connect 4 ports for each trunk group or eight ports total. My plan is to have each trunk group tie one of the 4108gl's to the 5304xl. My issue is the 4108gl will not let me create a trunk group while routing is turned on. Is there a way around this? I have the current firmware installed. Thanks.

Re: Procurve 4108gl & 5304xl switch Trunking
I think it is acceptable to only have routing enabled on the 5304xl.

Re: Procurve 4108gl & 5304xl switch Trunking
I agree,
It sounds like you won't need to have routing enabled on the 4108s, any Inter-VLAN routing can be done at the 5304, which sounds like it is going to sit in the middle of all of the 4100s.
Unless there is a specific reason for using the 4108s as routers i wouold turn it of..
Cheers
