Procurve Mgr - Can't download updates

Just installed Procurve manager 1.6. Mainly to have backup for the "Network is running slow" complaints that crop up and never have a jot to do with the network.

Anyway whilst its there looking at update the switch sfotware via it. At the moment the "latest software" is the version currently on my switches, which is about 3/4 versions out of date. The only way i can find to download any new firmware from the web is via the Software update policy. When i set this up it always fails with the message "Download new index file failed" Anybody had the same problem or know a workaround?

Well... the workaround is ugly... requires that you edit the prp file. This has been discussed here several times and I even tried opening an incident on it.

Thanks, I'd seen that thread and had a read through, but wasn't sure if it was the same problem or not.

I suppose the other method would be to download the code and istall it one one device manually, it would then pick it up as it has the current version.
