RJ-45 Port (NIC) Flashing Lights

Hi I have a Compaq NX9420 which is excellent, except there is one thing that doe bother me.

The RJ-45 Port (NIC) continually flashes two green LEDs. I NEVER use this port.

Question

HOw do I disable it and stop those darn lights flashing?
