Routing problem with a 5400zl
Same as others, thought I had this stuff figured out but..
I'm trying to set up VLAN on a switch. Created VLAN 10 in the 10.0.0.0/8 space, turned routing on, created a static route of 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.0.0.1 (Which is our Watchguard firewall). From a workstation I can ping the switch, and the firewall however when my gateway is set to the switch I cannot access the internet. If I change the gateway to the firewall I can get out fine.
I'm sure I'm just missing some little step somewhere but can't figure it out. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to solve this problem?

Re: Routing problem with a 5400zl
Hi
What do you have to route between on your 5400 Switch ? do you have other Vlan with different IP range ?
If you have only Vlan 10, then i suggest you keep the PC's gateway is the firewall.
If you have other that Vlan10, then keep each client's gateway is his Vlan IP and one more thing, add a static route on the Firewall back to the 5400 switch.
Good Luck !!!
