rp3440 cannot communicate through serial port (modem port)

Hi,
I tried to use rp5470 serial port following the document ID KBRC00011494 and I succeeded but when I tried to do the same with the rp3440 but failed...
what I noticed when doing ioscan -fnC tty is there is a difference between the 2 machines: I cannot find /dev/cul0p2 I have only the tty1p2 and p2 .. etc
Is that normal ?
