Switch Telnet connection error
I know that no one is connected to the switch, so I am assuming that it wasn't logged out correctly. In the past, I have rebooted the switch and that will fix it. However, I was wondering if there is something else that could be done without having to boot the switch.
Thanks,
Brian

Re: Switch Telnet connection error
out of interest, what switch type is it that you have and which OS are you running?
We had similar sounding symptoms on our 4000/8000M switches running C.09.16. I believe there was a known bug (sorry, don't have the details to hand but should be in the release notes somewhere) which is now fixed in the latest version of OS - C.09.22
We have upgraded our switches to C.09.22 and have had no further problems since.

Re: Switch Telnet connection error
If it's MIB has an OID like 'number of current telnet sessions" you could try reset it using snmpset utility.
