Timeout problem in PCM2+
Most of our third-party switches appears ok when discovered, but goes Unreachable after a few hours. When I do a manual re-discovery, the scanning is very slow but works OK after a minute abd I get all snmp-information from the switch.
I think it's some form of timeout-problem in SNMP-discovery. I tried to increase all parameters I can found without success. Is there any way to increase the SNMP-timeout?

Re: Timeout problem in PCM2+
Hi Christer,
Did you use CIP to make User Defined Devices for the third-party switches?
This functionality is specifically designed to monitor/discover third party devices (not limited to switches). You will also be able to decode SNMP traps etc from them.
You can read more about it in the PCM 2 plus administrators guide available at:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/networking/software/59908850-0605.pdf

Re: Timeout problem in PCM2+
Christer,
Did you use "re-discover" right click option on each device to re-discover these devices? You might want to delete these devices and then use Manual Discover Wizard to add these devices or wait for Discovery to pick them up. This might help.
Cheers
