Two e-mail server same IP
Hi there
I'have one e-mail server but I need to add another one and am wondering if there is a way of hooking it up to the same IP address. The server is ZIMBRA. Any ideas ?
Regards
Peter

Re: Two e-mail server same IP
Only by putting both of them behind a load balancer.

Re: Two e-mail server same IP
But the loadballancer will do round robin which means that I will get to the FIRST or SECOND server and I need to get to the right server each time I need it. so if I type: mail.mydomain.com or mail.mydomain1.com I need to get the right server each time. And they are not the same. one belongs to one company and the other to a completly different company.

Re: Two e-mail server same IP
Well, there is no other way with which I am familiar for two distict systems to "share" a single IP address at the same time. If these servers are indeed for distict companies, seems the most straightforward thing to do is use two IP addresses.
